Robert B. Heiman, Founder of Epicuren,
was born July 16, 1937 in New York City and educated at the Cornell
Extension of New York State University where his major interests were
directed towards the science field in engineering, chemistry and physics.
Upon graduation at the age of 21, Mr. Heiman contracted Vitiligo,
an incurable skin disease which causes the loss of pigmentation and
skin discoloration and makes the skin extremely sensitive to Ultra-violet
light rays.
Mr. Heiman's interest in the disease led him to experiment with enzyme
proteins, a key factor in understanding bio-molecular chemistry and
its effects on cellular growth.
After experimenting on himself with the enzyme proteins, he noticed
two important results; the effects of the disease had reversed, and
secondly, it helped retard the aging process.
Mr. Heiman has worked for over 30 years in developmental science,
as well as with several noted scientists such as Dr. Abraham Minton,
Ph.D. and Dr. James Baker, Ph.D., Dr. E.J. Jacobs, Dr. Robert Plymate,
and more recently, Dr. Harold Lancer, MD. Mr. Heiman has worked extensively
in the creation and procedural use of polymer resins and bio lipid
compounds and holds a U.S. patent for one of his discoveries.
An advocate of physical fitness, Robert enjoys bicycling, hiking and
jogging. He also believes there is an inseparable bond between body,
mind and spirit. As an accomplished violinist, he enjoys the symphony,
opera and ballet.
Epicuren has flourished over the past twenty years because
of Mr. Heiman's devotion, & perseverance toward his dream: to
begin a new dimension in wellness - one that controls disease and
aging through a system that directs and promotes multi-dimensional
good health.
